New Year’s resolutions are… how do we put this…

Let’s just say they can be a challenge. But whether you love them (e.g. shopping more local) or hate them (e.g. finally hiking to the top of Table Rock), resolutions are a great way to refocus your goals for the new year. As for us…

Grace here, and my resolution is just to, in general, be more active. For example, taking my dog for more walks on the Swamp Rabbit Trail and taking advantage of our hiking guide once the weather warms up.

Kyle here, and my goal is to read a new book each month, (giving myself bonus points if it’s by an author with ties to the Upstate, like The Secret Life of Bees author Sue Monk Kidd, who took creative writing classes at Anderson University). If I can stick to it, you’ll find me sipping an Americano over a cozy murder-mystery at M. Judson Bookstore or putting my library card to use at the Hughes Main Library.

Of course, our resolution at GVLtoday is to continue educating + activating our community by providing you with the most relevant local content in the city. That’s where you come in. Let us know what your goals are for the new year — we look forward to cheering you on.
