When we asked y’all a while back about what Greenville is missing, so many of you said “a mid-size music venue.”
We stumbled upon this “application for special exception” on the City of Greenville’s agenda center, more specifically, an application for “special exception for an indoor entertainment facility.” You can view the full application here.
The proposed venue would sit at 401 Rhett St. in the West End. At the site currently sits an empty warehouse.
The venue would have two levels and a standing balcony. The first level, as seen below, would feature a green room, an event space, bar space, a kitchen, and more. Click here to see the rest of the layout.
The venue would be a total of 25,036 sq. ft. and be able to accommodate around 2,000 people, which is almost double the capacity of The Orange Peel in Asheville.
