National Saison Day is an annual event founded by Allagash Brewing Co from Maine, who selects individual breweries to participate each year (a.k.a. it’s a really big deal). This is the first time that a maker from South Carolina has been invited and it’s none other than Birds Fly South. For this year’s event BFS will be the only location participating in the both of the Carolinas.

On Saturday from 2-9pm the ticketed event will pour up to 31 saisons and farmhouse beers on draft and at tap and bottle stations all over the property. The group at Birds has partnered with The Trappe Door for traditional beer pairing Belgium nosh (Barley’s Pizza, Swamp Fox Donuts and King of Pops will be there too and never forget White Duck Taco).

BFS Brewer Shawn Johnson will be sharing rare bottles from his private cellar to celebrate the day (along with a secret stash of unreleased special brews from many of his friends). Brewery reps from Allagash are coming down to Greenville to talk shop with merry drinkers and lots of brewers will be on hand to mix and mingle.

Hampton Station always throws one delicious party and this giant mixer will be no exception.
