Celebrate our city’s local artists and take yourself (and some friends) on a self-guided tour through Greenville’s art studios and galleries tonight from 6 – 9 p.m. for First Fridays.

In case you want a few suggestions for places to check out, we’ve rounded up some artists to see:

📄If you’re into demonstrations…

Go see Pat Kilburg at the Flatiron Building in the Village of West Greenville for a demonstration with the encaustic process of painting using different types of hot wax.

👀If you’re interested in something new...

Stop by Artists Guild Gallery of Greenville to welcome their newest member, Mandy Medina, at her reception at 200 N Main St.

🛠If you like art with a theme...

Go to the Greenville Center for Creative Arts for the opening of Material Transformation. Artists, from all over the Southeast will mix materials and assemblage to explore the themes of mythology, pop-culture, self-deprecating humor, identity and experience. Don’t miss the Artist Introduction at 6:45 p.m.

🚸If you are bringing the kiddos along…

Check out the free art activity for kids using “upcycled” materials with ReCraft Greenville.

💎If you want plenty to see in one spot…

Check out Shannon and Steve Dudar’s jewelry, painting, woodworking pieces at Art Crossing or stop by The Art Cellar to view works from 50+ artists. P.S. they also offer art classes.

Closed for this month’s First Friday event: 547 Perry (Kate Furman, Linda Furman, and Sunny Mullarkey Studio) and RIVERWORKS Gallery.

Want to see your event in our newsletter? Head over to the Events Page and let us help you spread the word.
