With a host of “order-only” bakeries in Greenville, a~flutter bakeshop is notable. Melissa McCollouch creates desserts that are as delectable as they are beautiful, a tough feat when they are THIS gorgeous.

I’m a super fan of lemon desserts and this tart is an absolute favorite of mine. The shortbread crust is exactly what I want and the meringue domes take it over the top in contrast to tart lemon curd, all made by hand by Melissa.

Take this dessert to your next gathering. Not only will you be heralded for your excellent taste, it will cost you less than most area bakeries. I’m also fond of Melissa’s rustic fruit tarts (strawberry rhubarb = be still my heart).

If a~flutter seems familiar, you may have tried their treats at an event at Art & Light Gallery. Melissa often caters for gallery owner Teresa Roche.
