Lowes Foods’ first in-store brewpub (say what?)

Lowes Foods can now officially be considered a brewpub. The Southeastern supermarket chain opened its second Upstate store on Saturday in Simpsonville – this one containing the largest Beer Den and only in-house brewpub out of all 52 Lowes Foods across the Southeast.

Lowes Foods of Five Forks brews its own beer with S.C. + N.C. ingredients – named after fairy tale classics like Rapunzel, Grimm, and Whuppity – and serves it on-tap, by-the-pint in the Beer Den, and via growlers to-go.
The one-stop shop is located in the Village Market-East shopping center on Woodruff Rd. and Sunnydale Dr., and is open daily, 6 a.m.-midnight.
