Immigration ban could go to the Supreme Court

Fox Carolina
It was a contentious day in federal court yesterday. President Trump’s immigration ban was challenged before three judges on the San Francisco-based 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

U.S. District Judge Robart, who temporarily blocked Trump’s order, said a judge’s job is to ensure that any government action “comports with our country’s laws.”

Several states and organizations have challenged the ban on seven predominantly Muslim nations, insisting that it is unconstitutional and creates issues with employment and recruitment.
Trump said yesterday that he can’t believe his administration has to fight in the courts to uphold a policy he says will protect the country. The immigration ban is set to expire in 90 days, meaning the issue could be taken to a higher court (the Supreme Court)
