Today’s mood? Beast. It’s the sixth year for YMCA of Greenville’s Beast Mode Games at the Caine Halter Family YMCA Branch (May 10-11) and this year’s two-day fitness competition is shaping up to be a good one.

Whether you’re out there testing your own strength participating in the games, or you’re only planning on stretching your palate at the food trucks + joining the hundreds of spectators on the sidelines, here’s what to look out for at this year’s event.

Last year’s games brought in 200+ athletes for the weightlifting/high-intensity interval training competition on 25 acres of field and facility space at the Caine Halter YMCA. This year is expected to be even bigger – with added activities for kids, dishes + drinks from local businesses (including Fireforge Crafted Beer 🍻), and sponsored booths.

Expect to see (or be part of) two-person teams in three categories: Male and Female Rx, Scaled, and Masters divisions. Get there Friday night to see the Rx athletes compete in a killer endurance test or watch all the divisions compete in various workouts on Saturday. 📅

See the full schedule here.

If you want to be part of the action even if you’re not in town for the games, follow along on Instagram or Facebook.
