Remember the old days of summer day campcapture the flag, tye-dying t-shirts or sitting around a fire with friends? Those activities that seemed like casual fun were actually life lessons and, as my parents like to say, character-building moments.

Camp gives kids an opportunity to get outside and play with new friends (and unplug from all their tech devices) as much as it allows them to demonstrate their independence, learn new skills and gain confidence.

The YMCA of Greenville is hosting several Summer Sports Day Camps for kids, like basketball, tennis and soccer camps, and registration is now open.

If you’re looking for ways to get your child involved in something new or improve their existing skills, click the button below to get more info about summer sports at the Y.
