Greenville Triumph is putting GVL on a national stage this Sunday, May 16 when ESPN2 will feature their match vs. Union Omaha as the first-ever national telecast of a USL League One soccer game. Better yet, ESPN handpicked Greenville as the host for the game.

Presented by the YMCA of Greenville, this match is a rematch of the would-be 2020 Championship — which was canceled last year due to COVID-19.

Details:

  • Date/time: Sun., May 16 2021 at 4 p.m.
  • Home team: Greenville Triumph
  • Opponent: Union Omaha
  • Venue: Triumph Stadium at Legacy Early College (900 Woodside Ave.)
  • How to watch: Tickets for the match are sold out, but fans can tune into ESPN2 to show support + rally the team.
  • ProTip: Tickets are sold out — but if you were lucky enough to get one — *we* recommend getting there early, when the gates open at 3 p.m., for a $1 happy hour until kickoff at 4 p.m. 🍻

As a reminder, the Triumph is one of just a few professional League One teams in the nation — thanks to our region’s booming international business sectors + budding youth soccer players. 👏

The team has sold out their first two matches this season, so don’t miss out on future home matches — see the full 2021 schedule + order single match, season, flex, or group tickets here. Let’s gooooal, Greenville. 🥅
