Today we’re talking social clubs: We are officially are on the map.

Tilt Arcade Bar a.k.a Greenville’s first Arcade bar will open in the former Pour Lounge location (not Pour Taproom) sometime before football season, in time to watch Clemson games in a Tiger-themed viewing room. It will feature 34 – 40 arcade games from the classics (hopefully Pacman and pinball) to high-tech games. It will be all ages venue until 8 p.m., too. 🙌

The Stone Pin Bowling Alley a.k.a a boutique bowling bar, opened last month underneath Revel Event Center (formerly the Handlebar), complete with a full bar and restaurant in addition to its six lanes. Plus, we might be getting The Painted Pin, which is looking to expand from Atlanta.

Plus, the upstairs of Barley’s has darts, pool, shuffleboard, and more. (What we’re calling the OG arcade bar).

So·cial club /noun/ – A club where members go in order to meet each other and enjoy leisure activities.

According to Harpers Collins, the use of the word peaked in 1984, and it’s making a comeback. Cities all over the country are bringing back childhood nostalgia in all the best ways.

Four social bars we can only dream of. 🙌

Queen Park Social / Charlotte, NC

“We are a place that stresses social interaction over social media. We believe the best conversations happen around a table surrounded by friends, not on a cell phone.” We would have to agree.
