The arts scene in Greenville, SC is picking back up again after COVID. Here’s what to know about the 2021-2022 season.

It’s been a tough year for the arts in Greenville. The community arts industry (theatres, festivals, concerts, etc.) contributes ~$240 million to the local economy each year. In the wake of canceled events during COVID-19, revenue and income losses for Greenville’s arts organizations were estimated to exceed $100 million dollars, if not more.

But the good news is here: Greenville’s arts scene is returning. Today, Metropolitan Arts Council (MAC) is sharing 9+ arts venues to revisit as they reopen post-COVID for the 2021-2022 arts season — all of which you can access with the MAC Art Card. 🙌

Centre Stage | Sept. 9-26 | Mainstage | Centre Stage presents A Season of Renewal with Godspell. Individual show + season tickets available for purchase via their box office.

Greenville Chorale | Oct. 16 | 8:00 p.m. | Peace Center Concert Hall | Season tickets $140 | Celebrating its 60th season with the best known + most performed works by Johannes Brahms “A German Requiem” (sung in English).

Greenville Theatre | Oct. 22-Nov. 7 | Greenville Theatre Mainstage | $30+ | Their grand reopening is with Mel Brook’s The Producers, Sept. 10-26. Later this fall is Sherlock Holmes’s Greatest Mystery, The Hounds of Baskerville — tickets go on sale Oct. 4.
