A rising star? That’s us.

At least according to the Wall Street Journal. These midsize “rising star” cities “on the forefront of America’s Economic Recovery, include Greenville, Des Moines, IA, and Provo, UT and have brought in new workers and businesses even during the pandemic. How have we done that? Lots of outdoor spaces + less congestion, plus a mix of “high-tech jobs and old-line industries,” just to name a few.

These “breakout cities” like Greenville, they claim, “offer a lot of things you can’t really get in the big city.”

Out of all of these similar midsize cities, the Wall Street Journal saysGreenville may be the best example of these rising stars.”

Just last week we also told you about worker confidence being on the rise in cities like Greenville likely because of a strengthening job market, loosened COVID-19-related restrictions, and aggressive government spending. We may be a tad biased, but we think Greenville is a great place to work and live.
