Hey, GVL. Chloe here. We had our annual 6AM City company retreat last month, where all ~30 employees from 7 markets across 4 states made their way to downtown Greenville to talk big-picture goals for 2020, participate in culture + education sessions, and simply hang out, all in one room, IRL.

Our management team knew we wanted to host in the HQ hometown, and looked for venues that A. would fit everyone comfortably, B. be located downtown (close to hotels + restaurants), C. be modern + tech-savvy (for presentations), and D. allow us to bring in our own food + drinks (read: all the snacks). We found that Greenville ONE Center met all of these needs.

Here’s how hosting our event at Greenville ONE Center went, and why the next time you’re hosting an event, you should #TryThis.

What we tried (with pricing):

We booked one of the Classrooms for all three days of our daytime retreat sessions (booking costs range from $500-$1,000/day), which was in the really beautiful, super-clean 6th-floor space of the Greenville ONE Center.

Something we weren’t totally clear on before: The Greenville ONE Center is its *own* space for events – located at 2 W. Washington St., near the corner of Main (across the street from Barley’s) – *not* just the building that houses Endeavor + Clemson in ONE City Plaza.

Large, nice bathrooms were located just down the hall from our Classroom, and we were just around the corner from the giant, 274-seat Auditorium, which has hosted major events for brands like CB Caine and TEDx.

Don’t miss:

The giant spiral staircase. It’s a killer setting for a photo op – we used it to take company photos and fresh headshots.

What we’re still talking about:

The company photo slideshow which we played on the retractable screen in the Classroom during Happy Hour one afternoon after working sessions.

How you can experience this:

Greenville ONE Center offers space rental for professional *and* personal events, so you can host anything from a 500-person conference to a 15-person baby shower.
