Your Guide to a Family-Friendly Friday Night at the Drive

Taking the kids out on a Friday night often requires a gameplan far in advance, so any activity with a schedule is a lifesaver.

Leave the planning at home this weekend but be sure to remember these things:

You can snag free parking at County Square and take the trolley to Fluor Field. Kids will love riding with the open windows and seeing the city in a new way.

When you get to the field, first things first, find the drink specials. Head to the 500 Club to try the “Legends Never Die” collab with the Drive + 13 Stripes or one of the delicious Dark Corner Distillery. 🍹 Pro tip: Get to Fluor Field early for “Thirst Inning,” where all Budweiser products at the beer carts in the first inning are $2.

Once you have a drink in hand, take the kids over to the brand-new playground area to run out some energy before grabbing a bite to eat.

If you, er, your kids still have a sweet tooth, grab some soft-serve ice cream in a Drive helmet cup from one of the concession stands. Pro tip: Can be reused as an on-the-go dog water bowl.

Let the kids feel really special + stick around past their bedtime for Hubbell Lighting’s “Light It Up” fireworks (and thank yourself come Saturday morning with that extra sleep you earned). 🎆

P.S. 👜 Fluor Field has a clear bag policy (and yes, that includes diaper bags) so make sure you’re carrying a bag the size of your iPhone (or smaller) if it’s not clear.
