Greenville Drive

Today marks the beginning of one of the best parts of the yearbaseball season. It’s Opening Day for the Greenville Drive, presented by TD Bank, and we’re here to give you the lowdown on everything you need to know for opening weekend.

Each year, the Greenville Drive has a theme + this year’s theme is “Together We Win.” In a time where it seems as though everyone is divided, the ballpark is a place that brings people together – a place where differences disappear + everyone enjoys time spent chowing down on hot dogs and cheering for their team.

Tonight’s game, presented by TD Bank, is against the West Virginia Power + the first homestand runs through Wednesday, April 10. Plus, this is an opportunity to see a World Series Champion + 2008 American League MVP play with the Drive... Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia will join the Greenville Drive this weekend as he works his way back from a left knee injury. If you want to plan ahead for the season, you can check out the full schedule here. Tickets start at $8 + the Drive recommends snagging them in advance, so if you’re planning on heading out to Fluor Field tonight – you can buy your tickets here.

First pitch is at 7:05 p.m., but you may want to get there early to take advantage of new menu items in the 500 Club (how delicious does a “Green Monster” corn dog sound?) or to grab one (or two, three…) dollar beers. 🍺 You can find $1 Keystone Light in the 500 Club every Thursday for dollar beer night, or a $2 beer of the monthApril’s $2 beer is Sweetwater 420.

Tonight’s game will also highlight Greenville Drive alum who helped the Boston Red Sox win the World Series in 2018, their fourth championship in 15 years.

We also highly recommend coming out to tomorrow’s game – because every Friday post-play, you can enjoy fireworks over the jumbotron. 🎆 This weekend will also feature Tyler’s Amazing Balancing Act on Saturday, and on Sunday Fluor Field will be celebrating Safety Patrol members in the area with Safe Kids Upstate Day. Bonus: Imagine Upstate, Greenville’s STEAM festival, will be happening outside the ballpark starting at 11 a.m.

Before heading out, be mindful of Fluor Field’s bag policy clear bags no larger than 12" by x 6" x 12" or a small clutch/purse no larger than 6.5" x 4.5".

Most importantlyhave a great time + don’t forget to sing Sweet Caroline during the seventh inning stretch. 🗣🗣🗣🎶
