Greenville comedian Rory Scovel’s new show

If you’re a comedy fan, keep reading. Rory Scovel is a comedian + Greenville native, and he also is starring in a new show which just came out on AppleTV this past Friday: Physical — which follows the story of an “unfulfilled housewife” named Sheila (played by Rose Byrne) married to Danny, her “unbearable husband” (played by Scovel).

Scovel’s been performing stand-up comedy since 2003 when he first tried his luck — and his jokes — at an open-mic night in Spartanburg. The rest, as they say, is history.

The Christ Church Episcopal School, Greenville High School, and UofSC grad also has a stand-up album (Dilation), two hour-long stand up specials (Rory Scovel: The Charleston Special and Rory Scovel Tries Stand-Up for the First Time), plus he acts in the show Those Who Can’t on TruTV and writes for The Eric Andre Show.

We always love seeing Greenvillians on the big screen, but if you don’t have AppleTV+ and are curious about Scovel’s new show, you can read more here + see the trailer here.
