DYK: Socks and underwear are among the most requested apparel items by organizations serving those in need. Kentwool, an international performance sock manufacturer based in downtown Greenville (with a manufacturer facility in Pickens), is pitching in.

Through September 8, you can add $5 to an order (or just donate directly) through their Give a Sock program + 100% will go to providing high-quality socks to the Houston Independent School District (HISD). HISD is specifically requesting sock + underwear donations and will be disrupting items to students and their families.

Plus, we’re hoping to add in some Greenville love. Are you a teacher or know a teacher? We’re collecting cards + letters to add in the boxes (perfect way for students to get involved). Email hello@gvltoday.com with the subject “Give a Sock” and we’ll send you the details.

Head over to Kentwool website for more info.
