Tomato Sandwich Taste-off returns to Travelers Rest

Top chefs from some of our favorite local restaurants duke it out to see who can make the tastiest tomato sandwich.

You heard that ripe. The annual Tomato Sandwich Taste-Off is back at Trailblazer Park on Saturday, July 27. For $25 a ticket, you can try sample sizes of each of the chef’s creations. It will be up to you to vote for the winner and declare who deserves the Tomato Trophy.

Greenville’s foodie scene will be represented by several local eateries in this fierce competition. Their provided ingredients will be tomatoes and imagination. The competitors are:

Now in its ninth year, this annual fundraiser benefits the Travelers Rest Farmers Market.

In addition to the competition, there will be vendors, live music, and kids activities. Buy tickets early so you don’t have to play ketchup.
