You heard it ripe. The annual Tomato Sandwich Taste-Off is back at Trailblazer Park on Saturday, July 29. For $20 a ticket, you can try sample sizes of each of the chef’s creations. It will be up to you — yes, you — to vote for the winner and declare who deserves the Tomato Trophy. This isn’t actually what it’s called, but we’d like to throw it out there.
Greenville’s foodie scene will be represented by sevel local eateries in this fierce competition. Their provided ingredients will be tomatoes and imagination. Rise Bakery — reigning champion — will be battling it out with:

- Camilla Kitchen
- Urban Wren
- Humble Roots
- Sunflower Sandwich Shop
- Good Vibes Juice Bar (Easley)
Now in its eighth year, this annual fundraiser benefits the Travelers Rest Farmers Market. A 501(c)(3), its goal is to create a space for the exchange of local products, produce educational and cultural activities to strengthen the knowledge of local products, and foster a sense of community among everyone in Travelers Rest.
In addition to the competition, there will be 70+ vendors, live music, and kids activities.
