Something’s a tradition once it happens two years in a row, right? Well then — our favorite (new) tradition is back. Table 301 has holiday specials leaping straight off the screen from your favorite holiday movies.

The star of 2025 is “The Grinch’s Roast Beast Feast” at The Lazy Goat. The 16-oz prime rib is served with caramelized shallot whipped potatoes and Brussels sprouts. New to the menu is the “Whoville Scallops,” served with Who Hash and a watercress Coulis that will have you scraping your Grinchy green plate.

My favorite bite from 2024 at The Jones Oyster Company is back: “Bumble’s Oyster Bliss.” Inspired by the Abominable Snow Monster, this is Oyster Rockefeller as a dip, served with parmesan-dusted pretzel sticks, and it was just as good as I remembered. Joining the lineup here is a cozy bowl of “Yukon Cornelius Golden Bisque,” and a deliciously spiced “With Your Nose So Bright... Bread Pudding.”

Tavola

I have good news and bad news. Bad news first — Buddy the Elf’s spaghetti (complete with maple syrup and crumbled Pop-Tarts) isn’t back for the second year. The good news is, there are three scrumptious holiday cocktails available instead, including my fave — The Hangry Elf (think: chocolate and peppermint) — inspired by Buddy’s iconic line.
