#EventSpotlight - What is Grok (& how can I be a part of it?)

Grok is a gathering point for design and technology professionals. An intentional collision of highly skilled digital makers and the industries, opportunities, and problems, they can most powerfully tackle.

Specifically, it’s an event encouraging creative teams and individuals to think differently. The focus of Grok is the best/new ways to do things on the internet, but they’re intentionally pulling in creative non-creators.

So who should attend? Digital makers who think differently and craftsman/craftswomen who are eager for different. In the past that’s looked like:

  • Corporate in-house designers and developers.
  • Non-Silicon Valley start-ups.
  • Entrepreneurs looking to find digital solutions to age-old non-digital problems.
  • Advertising agency design and technology leads.

Grok’s format will be 50% conference speakers and 50% open sessions for ad hoc micro-presentations amongst conference attendees. We call these attendee sessions 10/20’s and they’re the most important piece of Grok. Any attendee can sign up for a 10 or 20-minute window and speak to a breakout group of other attendees. These 10/20’s can be on any topic desired: An industry challenge, learnings from a recent project, or discussion around a personal passion, or whatever else you can dream up!

Come prepared to be inspired and inspire others. Details on the format and daily schedule will be released soon.
