2020 was challenging for many Greenville Technical College students.

  • Last year, 56% of students experienced at least one form of basic needs insecurity (housing, food, etc.).
  • 50% of students qualify as low income.

When students are unable to complete a degree, it affects their lives and the community, as they can’t become the qualified employees who keep our local companies moving forward.

How can you help? With donations to the Greenville Tech Foundation. $300 can be all it takes to keep a student on track to graduate and obtain a new career, achieve economic mobility + completely change the trajectory of a family.

In 2020, the Foundation distributed $55,477 to 165 students for emergency needs. These emergency funds helped them to pay rent, obtain gas, buy groceries, keep the water on, and pay power bills. Helping with these emergencies allows students to stay on track with their education and meet their goals, eventually helping employers meet hiring needs. 👏
