In the summer, we rely on our A/C systems. While we love the summer days for hanging out by the pool and spending the warm evenings playing cornhole in the backyard, home should be a solace from the heat.

Here are 5 ways to beat the heat and stay inside:

🥞Make brunch at home. Invite some friends and have everyone bring a different dish. Don’t forget the bloody mary mix.

🍿Pop some popcorn and start a Netflix marathon. Here’s what to look forward to this summer.

🍪Bake cookies and make ice cream sandwiches. If you skip the baking part and just eat ice cream + cookie dough, we won’t judge.

🎨Paint something. Find a new color for the walls in your kitchen or try your watercolor skills on canvas.

🧘‍♀️Roll out the yoga mat. Check out these moves to help stretch your back + legs.

Here’s how to make sure you don’t end up feeling the heat from outside while you’re inside:

👉Check your filters at least once a month. Replacing your filters regularly allows your system to not work any harder than it has to supply cool air and is an effective method of conserving energy and money.

👉Don’t overheat your thermostat. Placing lamps, tv sets, or any heat-producing appliances near your thermostat will cause it to sense the heat and run the air conditioner longer.

If you’re not sure how to handle any questions with your A/C, call a Davis Services professional.
