Meet the local artists named 2023 Dwain Skinner Fellows

Greer native Dwain Skinner, a talented artist who participated in Greenville Open Studios for the first time in 2019, sadly passed away that same year — this fellowship program was created to honor his memory.

It’s almost time for Greenville Open Studios, which will celebrate its 21st year of providing free and convenient community access to visual arts November 11-12.

This year, 23 new artists will be joining the Open Studios roster. Did you know? Each year, the Open Studios Executive Committee selects five new artists to be recognized as Dwain Skinner Fellows. This program was created to honor the late Dwain Skinner’s creative influence and legacy within our community.
