It’s the 30-year anniversary of the NC Mountain State Fair, which is back and bigger than ever.

That’s right, the beloved 10-day festival and celebration of all things NC has returned, now through Sunday, Sept. 15, and daily tickets start at $9 ($5 for kiddos).

The jam-packed schedule includes:

  • 40+ carnival rides
  • Craft, gardening + dance competitions
  • Local food trucks and vendors
  • Livestock shows
  • Regional music from the Mountain Music Festival
  • Pig races, both running and swimming (oh yes, swimming pigs)
  • Acrobatics and magic shows
