Charlotte’s top tastemakers to host exclusive culinary event in Greenville 🍽️

Acclaimed chefs and mixologists known for making national headlines and creating buzz in Charlotte’s food scene head to Greenville to host an exclusive culinary event.

This event (in partnership with euphoria Greenville food festival, The Local Palate, and the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority) gives Greenvillians a sample of Charlotte’s unique culinary scene.

A taste of the Queen City is coming to Greenville. Savor Charlotte is bringing eight celebrated Charlotte chefs and mixologists into GVL for a one-night only, exclusive culinary event on Thurs., Nov. 10, 2022.

Taking place at four different restaurants across Greenville, the event will feature custom menus curated by each Charlotte-based chef and mixologist — giving guests a chance to savor many flavors of Charlotte’s extensive foodie scene. Space is limited and reservations must be made directly with each restaurant of your choice to secure your seat at this takeover-style, city-wide event.

Restaurant: Jianna
Chef: Bruce Moffett, Moffett Restaurant Group

  • Chef Bruce Moffett is an honors graduate from the Culinary Institute of America and James Beard Foundation nominee who earned his stripes in kitchens in Atlanta and Boston before opening his first restaurant in Charlotte.

Mixologist: Russ Johnson, The Public House

  • A longtime mixologist in the Charlotte bar scene, Russ Johnson is known for crafting creative cocktails and for his appearances in local publications and TV programs showcasing his skills.

Restaurant: The Lazy Goat
Chef: Shai Fargian, YAFO Kitchen

  • Chef Shai Fargian has experience working with celebrity chefs and renowned restaurateurs. He is using his culinary skills to bring Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern flavors to Charlotte at three Yafo Kitchen locations.

Mixologist: Colleen Hughes, Supperland

  • A craft cocktail connoisseur, Colleen was crowned 2021 Mixologist of the Year in NCRLA’s Chef Showdown, and Supperland landed a spot on Bon Appetit’s Top 10 Best New Restaurants of 2022 (nationwide).

Chef: Alex Verica, PARA

  • Known for creating a limited, seasonal series of dishes inspired by the flavors of Asian cuisines.

Mixologist: Justin Hazelton, Leah & Louise

  • Once named best mixologist by Charlotte Magazine, bar manager Justin Hazelton’s cocktail program is filled with diverse and distinctive specialty drinks.

Restaurant: Oak Hill Cafe and Farm
Chef: Christa Csoka, The Artisan’s Palate

  • Graduating from the top of her class at the French Culinary Institute, Chef Christa Csoka has worked in New York City, Chicago, Austin, and now Charlotte.

Mixologist: Yoshi Mejia, Super Yosh Cocktails

  • Yashira “Yoshi” Mejia has been in the food and beverage industry for 20 years and now curates specialty cocktail menus — previous clients include: Bacardi, Beam Suntory, Coca-Cola, and more.
