My love of fried chicken runs deep and I recently learned of a FRIED CHICKEN MAP for the Carolinas. And, since it’s National Fried Chicken Day it felt super appropriate to share it this morning.

Check out not only the places to nosh on fried bird, but also lots of fun facts about our state’s culinary contribution.

For my dining dollar, I head to OJ’s Diner in Greenville and Wade’s in Spartanburg for perfect fried chicken. If you like it spicy almost no one beats Leon’s in Upper King, Charleston (especially when there are scalloped potatoes next to it) and don’t pass up the iconic Drake’s Duck-In in the Main Street District Cola and the OMG destination-worthy Zesto’s in West Columbia.

Happy Fried Chx Day.
