#BucketDish - The Chicken Karaage Taco at ASADA

I’ve written about ASADA’s carne asada many (many) times but there’s another taco at Gina and Roberto’s shop that I slyly covet: the Chicken Karaage. It’s a Japanese style fried chicken taco topped with slaw, ponzu and sesame seeds.

Should your taco be slightly sweet? Oh hells yeah. Chicken is long-marinated in sake, ginger, garlic and soy before flash fried and shoveled into this taco menagerie. It’s a mainstay at the Stone-Hampton eatery and though officially they call it a “special,” it rarely leaves the menu and perfectly demonstrates ASADA’s no fuss fusion fare.

With a side of house chips and pico, the Chicken Karaage taco is a straight up #bucketdish (and, don’t forget to order a hibiscus punch).
