Yesterday, BMW announced it’s doubling down on their investment in the upstate; to the tune of $600 million.

What, why, how?! The news came along with the unveiling of a Brand New Car (read in Bob Barker’s voice for dramatic effect): The newly revamped X3 crossover utility vehicle. The bolstered production lineup will bring in 1,000 new jobs, increase production to 450,000 vehicles per year, and bump total employment of the Upstate plant up to 10,000+.

With BMW being one of the largest employers in the state, their new plans to increase operations will inevitably pay huge dividends for the entire upstate. Let’s walk (er, ride) with BMW on the pathway to success.
