Small businesses are the backbone of our community, and this Black History Month, we’re highlighting four Black-owned businesses that are making waves in the Upstate with their unique products.

Something else all these businesses have in common? They’ve partnered with Surcee, GVL’s online shopping platform, to bring their products to a wider audience.

Surcee opened its digital doors this past fall with the mission of connecting local businesses with local shoppers (even those who prefer to shop online). If you haven’t figured it out by now, we’re pretty big fans. Shopping with Surcee is super easy — all you have to do is head to their website, then browse local products on the home page, via the Collections tab, or through the Categories option.

Pro tip: All these businesses will be in the Local Black-Owned Business section under the Collections tab.
