Monday, we asked the community what type of Greenville they would like to live in and what they loved most about Greenville. 100+ of you took to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, even our inboxes, to provide us with some killer feedback.

We compiled all of the feedback we received and broke it down into the topics respondents cared most about (nature, growth, community etc.).

Asked: Why do you love Greenville?
Answered (by the community): I love Greenville because ____.

Nature:

  • because our landscape is unreal beautiful and we’re so close to the mountains
  • We love Greenville because is has a vibrant downtown area with water playing a major role all around. For decades most American cities of the size of Greenville have neglected their respective downtown areas and now are trying hard to bringing it back. Having lived in Mobile, Alabama for many years we know how hard this struggle is and it has not (yet) succeeded there. With our European background, we find the city with a certain old continent charm, mayor commercial areas are not “polluting” the center of Greenville, but are accessible by car in less than 20 minutes. No question, the food offerings are another attractive factor in our appreciation. We grew a bit tired of all the chain food restaurants that make up the culinary side of most small and mid-size cities. Two months into our residency in Greenville were very positive and we are hoping to deepen our appreciation as we discover more avenues.
