Amazon started Prime Day in 2015 to celebrate its 20th birthday. In the last few years, Prime Day has broken sales records, well, because it’s basically Black Friday and Cyber Monday rolled into one day – and we all love a good deal.
We wish we accomplished half as much in our first 20 years on earth.
To take advantage of Prime Day’s 30 hours worth of deals, you have to be an Amazon Prime member but you can get a free 30-day trial membership (and cancel it in a few days if you want, we won’t judge). So this year, get your Amazon List (or your Echo) ready for some serious shopping through 12 p.m. tomorrow.
Pro tip: Download the Amazon App, which lets you track upcoming deals on items in Your List and receive notifications when the sales are about to begin.
And DYK we have an Amazon fulfillment center about 100 miles away, off Hwy-77 in Cayce? The one million-square-foot facility opened in 2011 and employs ~5,000 people (full-time + part-time). This hyper-local hub also means same-day delivery for many parts of S.C. (depending on your proximity + item ordered).
While we’re not sure if any of these are on •special• for Prime Day, here are a few of our favorite Prime-eligible Amazon finds. 📦 ⬇️
For the:
Clemson fan, when the team is down by 7 with 2 minutes left. / $14.30
For the eclipse 2017 parties you know you’ll be attending. 🎉 (Don’t forget these ISO & CE certified safe glasses for your viewing party.)
Dedicated artist (who also loves hitting the GHS Swamp Rabbit Trail) / $10.99
River rat, who can’t decide if they want to float or kayak Lake Keowee. / $69.99
Friend who is gluten free, cholesterol free, carb free + sugar free. / $5.95
People who believe in bacon first, safety second. / $6.70
Friend who needs help getting over their ex (or just wants to stay single). / $6.17
Parent who gifted you the firefighter calendar last Christmas. / $14.99
The most important part to remember for Prime Day is your credit card number to only buy the things you realllllly want (or need, I guess). Amazon is notorious for impulse buys – just look up #primedayfail.
