A person can only run the same neighborhood loop so many times before it’s more like a chore and less like a challenge. If you’re training for an event or just working on your fitness, these are some awesome local trails to try.

Greenville Health System’s Swamp Rabbit Trail

Paris Mountain State Park: North Lake Loop

📍 299 Paris Mountain State Park | 5 miles | Ideal for those with “first mile, worst mile” syndrome

Lake Conestee Nature Park

📍 Braves Avenue, Mauldin | 6 miles of natural trails, 6 miles of paved trails + 4,000 feet of boardwalks | Access the park from the Parkins Mill trail of the Greenville Health System’s Swamp Rabbit Trail (which will soon be connected to the main trail) or from Braves Avenue

Table Rock State Park

📍 158 Ellison Ln., Pickens | 6.5 miles roundtrip | A strenuous but scenic run that takes anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 hours to reach the summit.

Issaqueena Lake Trail

📍 Issaqueena Lake Road, Clemson | 3 miles roundtrip | A single track ridge trail with views of Lake Issaqueena
