Back in November, we told y’all about a proposed development in the West End called Jackson Way, which planned to transform Field Street by Fluor Field into an entertainment district. You can click the link here to read the full original story.

The good news is this project is now confirmed and moving forwardhence the construction happening in the above image.

Let’s refresh – this development as a whole includes a few things:

The relocation of the Shoeless Joe Jackson Museum. The museum is moving ~100 yards to the corner of Markley and Field in order to make way for...

The new Woodfield Development, .408 Jackson: a luxury apartment complex named in honor of Greenville’s baseball legend, Shoeless Joe Jackson.408 is Jackson’s rookie batting average, the highest in the MLB.

Turning Field Streetcurrently a two-way street – into a one-way street that could be closed for events.

According to the Greenville Drive’s VP of Marketing, Jeff Brown, they hope to have the project complete before the 2022 season.
