Warmer weather has officially landed in the Upstate and what better way to celebrate than by looking ahead to Greenville’s most anticipated spring events.

We’ve rounded up 10+ Greenville spring events that’ll have even the newest Greenvillians feeling like natives.

🍀 St. Patrick’s Day Parade + Irish Festival | March 16 | 1-6 p.m. | NOMA Square | Free | Event features Irish music, dancing, children’s activities, and Irish food + drink. | Details here.

  • Return to the Green | March 17 | 1-6 p.m. | Fluor Field | Free | A festive, family-friendly, cultural experience | Learn more here.

🎶 Downtown Alive kickoff | March 21 | NOMA Square | Free | The first event of the 2019 Piedmont Natural Gas Downtown Alive season, a series of open-air events on North Main St. filled with arts, live music + beverages; happening each Thursday evening March 21 through August. Follow @gvilleevents for updates.

👠 Greenville Fashion Week powered by the SOCIETY | April 3-7 | Tickets start at $29 | A touring fashion experience featuring fashion designers, photographers + models, pop up shops, designer showcases, a kickoff party, and VIP experiences.

🔬 iMAGINE Upstate Festival | April 6 | Downtown becomes the ultimate classroom showcasing pre-K – 12 education + career pathways in Science, Technology, Arts, Engineering and Math (STEAM) through hands-on learning. The Festival is located in the Heart of Downtown Greenville, beginning at the intersection of Broad St. + South Main St. and continuing along Main Street to Falls Park. The event is free + hosts several live stage shows.

🌮 Tacos ‘n Tequila Fiesta | April 7 | Old Cigar Warehouse | Tickets go on sale tomorrow ($45-$60) for this festival featuring all the creative takes on tacos your heart desires, with inventive tequila cocktails to pair with.

🛍️ Greenville Fashion Week | April 24-27 | Two nights of runway shows with 20 shows featuring national + local designers. Want to be a model? Want to show off your design skills? Head over to their site to learn how you can get involved. Stay tuned for more info on ticket sales.

🐕 Mutt Strut presented by Papa Johns | April 27 | 8:30 – 11:00 a.m. | Benefitting the Greenville Humane Society, the 8th annual Mutt Strut will start at 550 S. Main St. (in front of Halls Chop House) for a 2-mile run/walk. Tickets start at $35 which directly benefits the Greenville Humane Society. You had us at cute pups and free pizza; thanks Papa Johns!

🦆 14th Annual Reedy River Duck Derby | May 4 | 10 a.m.-4 p.m., race starts at 2:30 p.m. | Falls Park | Free to attend, but if you purchase a plastic duck for the race down the river, you could win $1 million (or a year’s worth of groceries from Publix) + 100% of profits go to local charities. The Duck Derby also features live entertainment and children’s activities.

🎨 Artisphere | May 10-12 | Main St. is shut down for 3 days of free local + national art displays (including demos and classes), food + drink tents and live music. Not sure what to expect? Check out our guide to last year’s Artisphere here.

🏋 YMCA of Greenville’s 5th Annual Beast Mode Games | May 10-11 | Caine Halter Family YMCA | A functional training fitness competition that attracts female and male athletes from across the country to compete solo or as teams in highly skilled courses. 🏃‍♀️ Zoom Through the Zoo | May 11, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Greenville Zoo (150 Cleveland Park Dr.) | You may have visited the Greenville Zoo a time or two, but have you run through the zoo?! Register here for the 5K ($25) or Kid’s Fun Run ($5).

  • Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit 5K | Friday May 3rd, 6:30 p.m. (afternoon race) | Gateway Park (115 Henderson Dr. Travelers Rest) | Register here for $15.
  • Mountains to Main Street Half Marathon and 5K | May 18, 7:00 – 11:00 a.m. | Both the 13.1 mile half marathon and the 3.1 mile 5K will have you cruising down the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail all the way to the TD Stage in downtown Greenville. Register here before prices increase on April 30.

🍺 VIBE (Very Independent Beer Event) | May 11 | The Community Tap | 2 – 5:00 p.m. | Tickets include beer from some of the top independent brewers + local food from the Chefs at staples such as Ji-Roz, GB&D and Bacon Brothers. Tickets start at $75.

🇬🇷 Greenville Greek Festival | May 16 – 19 | George Greek Orthodox Cathedral (406 N. Academy St.) | When “Greenville becomes Greekville”, the Greenville Greek Festival always pulls big crowds with authentic music and food galore. Even if you can’t make it to the festival, you can pick up some authentic Greek food via their drive-thru on Elford St. Purchase tickets at the door.

🍔 Food Truck Mash-Up | May 18 | Bon Secours Wellness Arena | 1:30 – 6:30 p.m. | This outdoor food truck event is said to have food trucks from all over South Carolina as well as a bar, music and kids events. Tickets here + military, veterans and first-responders get in free.

🏋 Gallabrae presented by the Greenville Scottish Games | May 24 – 25 | Downtown Greenville + Furman University | Head downtown to Main Street on May 24 at 6:00 p.m. for The Great Scot! parade featuring floats, bands and the Royal Highland Fusiliers. Gates open at Furman University at 8:30 a.m. for a day full of competition, celtic music and what is noted as the “Greatest Scottish Happy Hour in the world”. Tickets here. $20 for adults and $10 for kids.

BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation | June 6-9 | Thornblade Club + The Cliffs Valley | Daily tickets start at $10, but you can purchase clubhouse credentials for $50 and get the luxury of air conditioning.
