135 artists: Artisphere 2017 lineup

Greenville Journal
Over 1,000 applicants from 47 states and five countries applied to be selected as artists at the 2017 Artisphere event, presented by TD Bank.

The final count? Only 135 artists. They span from across our country and the Czech Republic.

Seventeen of those 135 artists are local to our area, two of which are brand new to the show. Another proud moment for Greenville. 🙂

Artisphere attendees will have a chance to show off their skills at the Furman Art Lab with a choice of thirteen different activities to celebrate 13 years of Artisphere. Clemson is also bringing back the STEAM exhibit for kids.

Artists aren’t the only feature at the weekend-long event. Dozens of local musicians will perform on four stages. Friday night’s WYFF stage headliner will be Marc Broussard, who is a mainstay at the New Orleans Jazz Festival and expect Houston-based soul band, The Suffers for some soothing Saturday night vibes.

Foodies are welcome too (obviously): Artisphere’s Culinary Arts Café showcases our incredible local cuisine.

Look forward to the event on May 12-14, 2017.
