A workout *anyone* can do

If you’re like us, it took a little time to figure out what kind of exercise is right for you (otherwise, working out isn’t something you look forward to). Or you might have just decided to get more active + aren’t sure how to start.

It’s kind of a big commitment to join a gym — you might not be sure about spending the money, or aren’t comfortable working out with others. GHS has got you: their new MoveWell program brings you monthly video workouts at home, with guidance from the pros. And if you still crave that accountability + support, there’s an online fitness community of folks participating.

Start with January’s video here — they’ve even got a playlist breaking down each individual step so you don’t feel rushed or overwhelmed by the whole routine at once. Not sure a monthly video is enough? Each of the 10 moves can be made easier or more challenging so you can experiment with the intensity and make progress throughout each month.

GHS says adults should be aiming for at least 150 min. of exercise each week (about 30 min. a day, 5 days a week). These videos are perfect to alternate throughout the week while mixing in activities like jogging, swimming, or biking on the other days.

The best news: the workout only requires a mat, a towel, a stopwatch (a.k.a. your smartphone)… and you. New Year’s resolutions don’t have to be unattainable.
Click here for specific instructions for the workout, warm-up and wrap-up demos, + a list of each exercise (with easier/harder adjustments).
