Hey Greenville. 👋 Yesterday, we got an email newsletter from Ty Houck, the Director of Greenways, Natural and Historic Resources from Greenville County Parks, Recreation + Tourism. This email blast was about the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail system hoppenings (get it?), and we wanted to share some pieces of info we were excited about.

Let’s talk bridges. Five bridges (three brand new, two getting upgrades) are planned for the Green Line Expansion. If you want to see the expansion of the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail, you can watch this great aerial video from Greenville on the Rise. Now they need to find a contractor to design these bridges, so they’re advertising a Request for Proposals (RFP) to find the right person to propose designs for iconic bridges, like in the concept rendering below.

Near the end of his email, Ty says in regards to converting train cars into AirBnBs, “I want to do this! Why can’t we do this? If you have the wherewithal to make it happen give me a call. If you are just curious check out this link to get inspired of what we could be or even go rent one in N.C.” The link includes several examples of places where you can rent a train car AirBnB in N.C.

If you’re interested in getting Ty’s emails, you drop your email here to get added to his list.
