One of the most frequent questions we’ve received in the last month is – “What is happening at the corner of Academy and Pendleton streets across from the new Burger King?”

Well, now we have an answer for you.

Upstate Business Journal recently shared this piece , announcing that the building is set to be the new headquarters for marketing agency, Cargo , and the Trehel Corporation .

The new HQ will be taking over what used to be a grocery store for the neighborhood back in the 1930s. The team behind the project say preserving the history of the building is the goal. The target completion date for this project is by the end of 2020.

This is not the only new + exciting development happening in the West End.

A few weeks ago we told you about a possible music venue coming to the West End on Rhett Street. Well, some new renderings have been submitted for the proposed project, and they’ve got us feeling excited.
