Here are some interesting education-related bills to watch this legislative session at the State House, according to Public Education Partners: Greenville County.

H. 4435 would make DACA students eligible for in-state tuition at public S.C. postsecondary institutions (colleges/universities) + eligible for professional state licenses

H. 4596 would provide certain exemptions for competency-based schools

H. 4598 would allow concealed weapon permit holders to carry a concealed weapon on school property leased by a church for church services

S. 888 would make certain teachers in school districts + charter schools eligible to receive payment at the end of each fiscal year for unused annual and sick days at the district’s substitute teacher pay rate; subject to local school board approval
