Human trafficking is the fastest growing global issue, but you may be shocked to know that its been found in a lot of hotel rooms (and even bathrooms) in Greenville County.

Yeah, you read that right. It’s an issue that doesn’t solely affect one socioeconomic class. The demand is mostly coming from middle class + college-educated people.

The revolving door is due to a lack of assistance. The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office says there has been a bad habit of locking up women for prostitution, but never seeking to find out if they are actually victims of human trafficking. But they are looking to drastically change that through a campaign targeting Upstate businesses + hotels and educating them on spotting human trafficking and what to do.
