It’s no secret. There is growth + development happening all over town. Greenville Journal put together a roundup of eight transformative projects.

Cancer Survivors Park – A $7.5 million park which connects Cleveland Park + Falls Park on the Swamp Rabbit Trail.

Programming should start in January, but the trail is open on weekends from 6 – 9 p.m. on Fridays, and 5 a.m. – 9 p.m. Saturday + Sunday.

Camperdown – A mixed-use project off of Main St.

Most of the old Greenville News building has been demolished, and the staff has moved into their new building next door. Work has started for the multifamily building, and the plaza will go to the DRB this week.

New buildings will be constructed this time next year, and it should be finished mid-2019. This includes a 140-room AC Hotel from JHM Hotels, a 2017-united apartment, and about 80,000 square feet of retail, 150,000 square feet of office space, and 18 condos.

County Square – Former shopping mall, which is the county’s base of operations. The redevelopment will include 250,000-square-foot office building to house the offices + a 1,000-space parking garage.

Greenville County Council is still trying to choose from the three remaining private developers that submitted proposals, and a timeline for the decision hasn’t been announced.

Updates on NorthPointe, City Park, Verdae, GHS Swamp Rabbit Trail expansion, and 85-385 Gateway, and more Dig Greenville here.
