Restaurant Week Greenville officially starts this week, and our inner foodies are already drooling. 55+ Greenville restaurants will offer prix-fixe lunch and/or dinner menus under $50 from Aug. 9 – 19, and once you read this guide, you’ll be calling for reservations ASAP.

First, a few things to know:

🍽 There are some newcomers this year: Abanico, Cantina 76, Iron Hill, Crepe du Jour, Encore, Hare and Field, Husk Greenville, Ji-Roz, Otto Izakaya, and Tucano’s are all participating for the first time.

🍽 It’s not limited to downtown: you can dine at restaurants from Woodruff + Haywood Rd., Simpsonville, Downtown Greer + Travelers Rest as well as downtown GVL.

🍽 You’ll find vegan + gluten-free options, outdoor dining, open late, and pet-friendly restaurants. (You can filter by category on the Restaurant Week Greenville website.)

🍽 Use the hashtags #rwsc + #yeahthatgreenville to show off your meals, and you could win one of 10 prize packs including VisitGreenville swag + a $50 restaurant gift card from S.C. Restaurant and Lodging Association.

Now, on to the food…

Here’s the GVLtoday team’s picks for menus we can’t wait to taste:

Kendall – Hare and Field (3 courses/$30 a person)

Ordering: pretzels with beer cheese fondue + mustard, summer gnocchi with goat cheese, and cake for dessert.

Jordan – Tupelo Honey (4 courses/$29 a person)

Ordering: tomato soup + grilled cheese strips, crispy brussels sprouts, cauliflower steak + quinoa, and a mini mason jar of peanut butter mousse with chocolate ganache.

Heather – Jianna (3 courses/$30 a person)

Ordering: ricotta crostini with honey + sea salt, char-grilled chicken and polenta, and lemon panna cotta.

And just because we’re hungry, here are a few more dishes we’re craving: tots with pimento cheese from Southern Culture Kitchen & Bar, a beer-battered fried cheese wheel from Shortfield’s Simpsonville, and KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) wings from Restaurant 17.

See all the restaurants + menus here. Goodbye, diet…

I know I’m not the only one excited to play food blogger for the week. Send us your stellar photos, favorite dishes, and best experiences from Restaurant Week Greenville and we’ll spotlight some of our faves in the newsletter.
