President Trump’s trip to Boeing

New York Daily News
Nearly 3,000 employees at Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner plant in S.C. voted this week on whether or not to join the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace workers. They voted no.

According to Boeing and the National Labor Relations Board, nearly 74% of votes were anti-union. South Carolina also has the lowest percentage of unionized workers nationwide, at 1.6%, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Plant employees have more excitement in store for this week, with a visit (and possibly a speech) from the President as well as the rollout of Boeing South Carolina’s 787-10 Dreamliner.

This will be the first time President Trump has returned to S.C. since winning the state’s Republican Presidential Primary.

The specific time window for the visit has not been released for President Trump’s visit, so if you’re taking a trip to the Lowcountry, plan some extra time for traffic
