A few weeks ago, NEXT SC (a program of the Greenville Chamber and currently supports over 100 knowledge-based companies in Upstate South Carolina) hosted their annual Venture Pitch event, where local biz leaders, entrepreneurs and local startups come together to discuss venture capital in economic ecosystems, have a friendly pitch session + a CEO workshop.

What is venture capital? Financing that investors provide to startup companies and small businesses that are believed to have long-term growth potential.
