The inside scoop

First celebrated in the 1960s when a Rochester, NY family ate ice cream for breakfast during a blizzard, Ice Cream for Breakfast Day aims to “liven up the first weekend of February with something silly and sweet.”

Clare’s Creamery is the spot to celebrate this Saturday. Both locations open at 9 a.m. with specials like donut sundaes (made with Scout’s Doughnuts in Overbrook and Parlor Doughnuts at Parkins Mill), hot coffee from Bridge City Coffee, and breakfast-inspired ice cream flavors like:
  • Brown butter pancake
  • Strawberry Pop Tart
  • Lucky Charms
  • Espresso cookie dough
  • Dairy-free orange creamsicle
This is a can’t-miss event for me, so if you see me, please say hello.
