Wine and dine around Greenville for Restaurant Week South Carolina

August: Where to dine for SC Restaurant Week in Greenville, SC
We shared our picks ahead of one of the best weeks of the year.

Make those reservations. Restaurant Week South Carolina kicks off Thursday, Jan. 11 and runs through Sunday, Jan. 21.

Whether you’re looking to try something new or visit an old favorite, participating restaurants offer special deals to entice Greenvillians to get out and eat local.

Here are five spots with menu offerings we can’t wait to taste:

Roost, 220 N. Main St.

With a new chef in the kitchen, Roost is serving up three courses for $35. We’ve already had a taste of of Chef Zac’s roasted burrata + the bananas foster bread pudding, and we highly recommend them.

Between The Trees, The Grand Bohemian Lodge, 44 E. Camperdown Way

We’ve been looking for a reason to head back to Between the Trees, and this menu celebrating apples from Hendersonville + featuring dinner specials starting at $11 is the perfect excuse.

Fork and Plough, 1629 E. North St.

The variety on Fork and Plough’s menu got our attention, which is why we had to put it on our list. Choose from five starters, five main courses, and four desserts.

Curean, 732A S. Main St.

Although the menu is to be announced, we’re still putting Downtown Greenville’s newest restaurant on our list because we haven’t had a bite there that wasn’t a 10 out of 10. Whatever the specials, this is a Restaurant Week must-do.

The Cook’s Station, 515 Buncombe St.

This lunch offering for Restaurant Week caught our eye: A hoagie roll with chopped brisket, pimento cheese, cured tomatoes, shredded iceberg lettuce, and red onion. By the way, it’s served with tea for $12.99.

Will 2024 be Greenville’s best year yet? | Photo by James Simpson Photography
Earlier this year, we polled our readers for their zaniest predictions for 2024. Here are some of your responses... and how they panned out:

Prediction: “A new Coca Cola mural will appear.” — Beth B.
Outcome: Greenville is lucky to have so many amazing murals, but a new Coca Cola piece is not one of them.

Prediction: “Greenville will be featured on the TODAY show.” — Jonnie B.
Outcome: We have a winner. Greenville was featured on the TODAY show in February for the TODAY Walking Challenge.

Prediction: “The Greenville Drive will repeat as conference champions.” — Max F. (Reader Bonnie K. had the same thought)
Outcome: We love our local baseball team, but alas, they did not bring home the trophy this year.

Prediction: "[Greenville will get a] foot of snow.” — Chris B.
Outcome: Technically the year isn’t over yet, so there’s still time. But all signs point to “no.”

Prediction: “A local chef will win a James Beard award.” — Mary F.
Outcome: Wade’s Restaurant in Spartanburg won the James Beard Foundation America’s Classic Award for the Southeast + Sum Bar won for it’s short film. “Great Wall.”

Prediction: “Downtown streets will be clear of dog poop!” — Abby J. (Dare to dream, Abby, dare to dream.)
Outcome: Maybe it’s just us, but our streets have been looking mighty clean lately.
