Freaking out about the fact that February starts in less than a week? Wondering where January went? We are too. Here’s a look back at the top stories from this month to refresh our memories on what happened since the New Year started.
1️⃣ Never leave your couch again…
Our guide to Greenville’s food delivery services had the most viewers this month – we can 100% relate. Our team ordered food from GrubHub + BiteSquad simultaneously and found that they were about equal on delivery times. Highlight of the story: our BiteSquad driver had Heather’s order remade when she found nuts (Heather left a note that she’s allergic). ✊
2️⃣ Send this to a friend who is considering a move to GVL
Shout out to our Voices submitter who shared this story (more info on Voices here). DYK there’s a company called Make Greenville Yours who offers tours to people interested in moving to our area? Mike Cruice will take riders to all the insider spots (including Mauldin, Simpsonville + TR) or offers a shorter version of just the GVL highlights.
3️⃣ Allllll the meals with none of the prep work
We’re really bonding over this food thing. If you’re trying to eat healthier but don’t have time (or energy) to whip up a nutritious dinner after work, Greenville has plenty of places that will prep meals for you, from paleo to gluten-free. 🥒
4️⃣ #TBT: Greenville County Museum of Art
When you need a break from work today, read our deep-dive into the history of Greenville’s art museum: 3 local artists, one old mansion, a $6 million donation, and 83 years of history. (And one Jasper Johns lithograph.)
5️⃣ Edwin McCain isn’t our only music star
Get ready to become a regular at our local venues (or at least add some new music to your playlist). Greenville’s music scene has everything from rap to indie pop to country. We listed a few to check out – look in the comments for even more recommendations from our readers.
