The Village Grind

Art in unexpected places. We love art because we can admire it, photograph it, and save it for later, whether in its tangible presence or in its captured state. What kind of art pervades Instagram (and my Instagram in particular)? Latte art.

Have you ever thought about the art in your coffee cup? You’ve surely entered a coffee shop, ordered the fanciest latte/macchiato/cortado you could choose, and made all of your friends wait to drink their drinks until you take that perfect flat lay (or maybe that’s just me…) Well, if this is not a pastime you’ve enjoyed before, I highly recommend it.

The Village Grind is a cozy cute corner of The Village of West Greenville, and the aesthetic of the shop couldn’t be more perfect for those flat lays. From patterned carpets to teal and pink walls to Glory Day Loflin’s painting installed above the couch, the Instagram opportunities are always changing and appealing.

Whether you’re a lavender mocha, Americano, or espresso sort of person, there’s always a chance to share the love to your favorite coffee shop by posting a photo of their latte art on your Instagram. Make sure to tag them, set the location, use their hashtag if they have one (or make up your own), and photograph the local art that you can sip, enjoy, and share.
