A huge redevelopment project in the Village

The 5.58-acre DSI site, indicated by the dotted yellow line, is around the corner from the new Village of West Greenville public plaza.

Furman Co., the company that previously redeveloped the former Claussen Bakery at 400 Augusta St. along with other partners, has recently purchased 5.58 acres of land in the Village of West Greenville.

The plan for the 50,000 square foot warehouse is to turn it into loft office + retail space, and the 10,000 square foot office building fronting Perry Avenue will be developed into a community facility (but there are no details on what it is exactly yet).

“We’re asking the occupants of the Village what they think is the best use and what’s needed,” said Ryan Poppleton, development manager at Furman Co.
